Complete your degree at Horizon College by taking classes one night a week. This schedule is convenient for even the busiest person to achieve a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership & Ministry or a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership – in just 22-23 months.
You’ll apply the new skills you learn here from the moment you finish your very first class. New classes begin frequently and include 16 modules. Here are some sample courses, depending upon your major.
The Associate of Arts (AA) degree at HCSD is intended for the student who is looking for a college degree but does not want the long-term commitment of a four-year program. The AA degree is designed to give the student a good foundation of Bible and Theology along with some general studies courses. The AA degree will provide students with the critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary for productive service in the community and the church. Later, if the student wishes, he or she may transfer the entire AA degree into the bachelor’s degree at HCSD. The AA degree consists of 30 units of Bible and Theology, 27 units of General Studies, and three units of Ministry Studies. Certificate Programs HCSD offers a One Year Bible Program, Certificate in Biblical Counseling and a Christian Workers Certificate. These certificates are designed to give the student a curriculum that is shorter than a degree but includes the essential Bible, Theology and Ministry classes necessary for equipping.
Students may take classes without pursuing a certificate or a bachelor’s degree. They may take classes whenever they wish for credit or non-credit. There are a growing number of students who already have a degree or do not wish to earn one, but who find the discipline and accountability that comes with taking a college class enriching. If this is you, contact the college registrar for information on how to take classes for personal enrichment only.
